The Community Manager strategically identifies, documents, posts, and creates engaging content for the organization’s projects and activities on social media platforms to inspire the audience to support the organization’s activities.
He/she is responsible for building a brand identity and maintaining an active online presence through dissemination of multimedia content online. The Community Manager is also required to have a proven experience in graphic design through visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, and layouts.
Detailed Job Description
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with different stakeholders to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a responsible manner.
- Produce fresh, innovative work (documents, photos, videos, gifs, and others) that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for the audience.
- Work closely with the Digital Media & Production Officer to brainstorm and develop new communication and reach ideas relevant to the organization’s active projects.
- Write, edit, and proofread social media content.
- Manage content across all platforms, including email and social media.
- Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.
- Create and update the quarterly/yearly communication calendar (including but not limited to events, holidays, social media positing dates, new ideas).
- Handle the website Backoffice (SEO) through continuously updating the information, while adding relevant program content, pictures, and logos.
- Conceptualize and design the organization’s yearly annual report including: dividing the sections/programs/projects, designing the layout, and formatting images and logos relevant to each section while ensuring that it reflects the identity of the organization.
- Handles the organization’s mail chimp account from designing and creating campaigns, email templates, and audience tags while sharing weekly mail chimp report to the Head of Strategic Development & Quality Assurance and Executive Director
- Document, using high technology products, specific projects, and programs from the start till the end portraying the progress of those projects.
- Ensure that all content on social media feeds align with the organization’s mission, specific project strategies, and approved calendar.
- Schedule and post content on social media feeds, as well as respond to comments on social media to best develop an online interactive community.
- Produce regular reports on competitive social media performance and summarizes audience feedback and insights. And accordingly help in the content development and social media strategies to expand reach and impact.
- Identify KEY social influencers whom we can engage with.
- Maintain strong knowledge of developments, innovations, and new tech in social media and identifies any that may be of benefit/interest to the organization.
- Prepare the design of presentations for donors when requested.
- Perform any additional tasks, when requested by the Senior Communication Officer.

Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in fine arts, photography, advertising, graphic design, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in content creation, graphic design, social media, in an NGO, agency or corporate setting.
- Proven experience in developing marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget.
- Proven graphic design, publication design software, and photography experience with a strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
- Knowledge in design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understands offline and print.
- Proven experience with concept development.
- Strong creative vision with an understanding of organizational objectives and what message it wants to transmit to the audience and followers (both donors and beneficiaries).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Demonstrate excellent English and Arabic oral and written communication skills.
