Job Summary

The Road and Drainage Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and management of road and drainage systems for various civil engineering projects. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that infrastructure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- **Design and Analysis**:
- Develop detailed designs for roadways, drainage systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses to ensure effective drainage solutions.
- Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to create design plans and specifications.

- **Project Management**:
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and prepare status reports to communicate with stakeholders.

- **Field Investigations**:
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for design purposes.
- Evaluate existing conditions and recommend improvements or modifications.

- **Compliance and Standards**:
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction documents.

- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other engineers, architects, and planners to integrate designs into overall project plans.
- Liaise with contractors and construction teams during the implementation phase to address design-related issues.

- **Budget Management**:
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
