One Media (1M), an Information Provider media company founded in 1977m publishes specialized industry platforms providing relevant and up-to-date information, news, statistics & data – meaning: useful & beneficial, highly relevant and updated value-added content – related to various industries (water, construction, food, health & energy) and other industries in the near future such as transportation, fashion, ICT…) comprised of various media channels (magazines, websites, newsletters, events, reports, socials..).
I. Duties & Responsibilities*
a. Actively assist and be engaged in organizing, publishing, producing, developing and improving all media channels (magazine, website, socials, events, reports, services, & newsletters) related to all industry platforms ensuring to work as per relevant work production workflows / content calendars or programs and to meet deadlines & assigned KPIs / Metrics.
b. Researching Odoo’s / WordPress / Drupal content management system (CMS) to ensure best possible management and publishing of content across various media channels.
c. Develops, Grows & Improves Audience & Community data ensuring it is suitable & meets target objectives / KPIs & Metrics (as specified in each brand’s media kit – where relevant) & content related to websites, newsletters & social media channels is published / updated as per posting calendars.
d. Research & processing of content (Articles, Press Releases, Services, etc…) from various sources for appropriate placement in 1M industry platforms various media channels.
e. Prepare original content items (articles / interviews / special reports / top indexes / product comparison / project analysis…) for publishing in 1M Brands media channels.
f. Organizes and moderates events (podcasts / webinars).
g. Research & produce industry reports by country / region / sector / technology / product type.
h. Develops & writes highly effective, original and targeted copy / content for print, digital & online media brands across various media channels.
i. Communicating with various entities for content & research projects.
j. Ensure to abide by relevant CR / other corporate processes and to develop them whenever necessary to improve work production and efficiency as well as increase productivity.
k. Collects and analyzes information about newsworthy events for publication, broadcast or online publishing in various media channels.
l. Edits and proofreads articles, reports, editorials, reviews, and other material, as well as evaluates material submitted for publishing consideration.
m. Determines content placement based on relative significance and media requirements liaising as necessary with CR department members.
n. Gathers and verifies information regarding story / article through interview, observation, and research.
o. Copy writing related to various industries and topics in a way that keeps readers (audience) interest and enthusiasm peaked.
p. Replying to users’ requests / queries posted on all social media channels as per social media strategy.
q. Working in tandem with other departments and writing / editing creative materials for promotions, direct marketing (email, newsletter), advertisements as well as website content, etc.
*The above to be performed for One World (1W) and all its divisions, foremost to One Media (1M).
II. Expertise & Skills
a. Experienced with Content Management Systems (CMS) and intricacies of content management, production and publishing, across various media platforms and types.
b. Experienced in researching and in preparing content (articles / reports / features…) for various topics & industries using various research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, correlation/regression analysis & meta-analysis).
c. Experience in developing, creating & publishing content for various media types / channels including websites & social media channels.
d. Creative thinking and copy writing from concept to published items.
III. Qualifications
a. University Graduate with a degree of any of the following: English Literature, Translation, Journalism, Communication, Public Relations or Mass Media (Master’s degree preferred).
b. Excellent command of English & Arabic Languages (Written and spoken).
c. Very good computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office) and in content management systems / digital tools / SEO / websites structuring and in internet research skills.
