Malak Al Tawouk is hiring a Restaurant Manager for its Jal l Dib & City Mall Branches.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Manages the restaurant through assigning tasks, delegating works, controlling business operations, and leading workforce.
• Monitors the work during rush hours, and conducts spot check on the activities performed by the team such as wrapping, grilling, preparing, cooking, dispatching, etc.
• Controls absenteeism, lateness, and tardiness, joiners, leavers, addition, deduction…fills the HR Reports required and send them on the 1st of each month to the HR department.
• Trains and coaches the staff on how to improve their performance and productivity and provides them with insights and hints on best practices.
• Organizes general meetings for the team and communicates company strategies, objectives, policies, procedures, standards, best practices, rules and regulations, etc.
• Determines and monitors employees’ performance using customized evaluation sheet and employee of the month spread sheet.
• Handles financial issues with the financial department, prevents cash differences, manages restaurant’s petty cash when purchase urgency occurred, and safeguards invoice received in order to provide them later on to the company.
• Recruits and selects candidates after determining resourcing needs.
• Provides effective orientation sessions for new candidates and trainees.
• Investigates misconducts, bad behaviors and conflicts arising among the staff, and takes the most appropriate disciplinary action in coordination with the direct manager and the HR Dep.
• Ensures that all food and non-food items are subject to food safety standards and investigates food items expiry dates by checking their condition and labeling.
• Provides an order sheet to warehouse and central kitchen determining restaurant’s needs in food and non-food items.
• Follows and implements marketing, advertising and promotion activities recommended by the marketing department.
• Solves customer complaints and maintains customer satisfaction through effectively handling occurred misunderstandings.
• Detects and identifies maintenance requirements in restaurant and collaborates with accredited maintenance companies or internal maintenance department.
• Provides maintenance reports to the management team which includes the details of the maintenance visit.
• Ensures that all equipment and tools are clean and sanitized by checking, inspecting, and investigating their cleanliness.
• Manages the receiving activities of supplies and controls the storage process of items.
• Fills a paper which determines cost variances in food and non-food items received, stored and sold.
• Adheres to the company’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Preforms other duties as assigned
Technical Skills & Experience:
• BA in Hospitality management or any technical certificate related to food and beverages and hospitality.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a
managerial position in the same field.
• Budgeting plan including sales, cost, etc.
• Food Safety& Quality Standards knowledge
• Very Good knowledge in POS systems
• Good computer skills
