Finance Officer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Officer located in Beirut. The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial statements, analyzing data, handling finance-related tasks, preparing financial reports, and effective communication within the organization.



Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions

Process daily transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Ensure accuracy in data entry and maintain organized records for all financial transactions.
Prepare invoices, handle reimbursements, and manage petty cash.
Financial Reporting

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare reports on financial status, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to aid in financial planning.
Reconciliation & Compliance

Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
Assist with audits by providing relevant documentation and responding to auditor queries.
Budgeting & Cost Control

Monitor budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Identify areas for cost reduction and implement efficiency improvements.
Participate in budget preparation and assist in managing departmental budgets.
Data Analysis & Financial Advice

Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organization.
Assist in developing financial policies and procedures for improved accuracy and efficiency.
General Support & Team Collaboration

Support the Finance Manager with special projects and initiatives as required.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
Handle inquiries and provide financial information to stakeholders as needed.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ability to analyze and present data.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
