Head Chef

A Restaurant in Lagos is looking for an experienced Chef to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand the company policy and ensure that all the kitchen team will follow the company policy, rules and regulations.
- Must a have a minimum 5 years’ experience in the same position.

Duties:

- To verify that the prepared dishes are up to the company standards.
- To develop menus and offers based on the guest’s demand in collaboration with the Management.
- To provide a creative culinary idea with a trendy presentation.
- Cooperate with the management for special food events menu.
- Promote new menu ideas with a trendy culinary presentation.
- Ensure to apply the food hygiene standards in the kitchen and the storage area.
- Coordinate with Management to prepare SOP, Food booklet and checklists.
- Manage food costs, wastage and staff meal.
- Ensure the daily production of staff meal.
- Ensure to apply a continuous inventory system weekly and monthly.
- Monitor stock and cooperate with the purchasing department for purchases.
- Ensure that the kitchen team will follow the food portioning procedure with shelf life.
- Maintain a clean kitchen by following a daily and weekly deep cleaning schedule.
- Ensure that the hygiene and the uniform of the kitchen team are up to the company standards.

- Flexibility to work in shifts including weekends and evenings.
- Background in Microsoft office
