Job Description: Fiber Optic Technician

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic systems for our telecommunications services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and repairing of fiber optic cables, ensuring that they meet company standards and customer requirements. The Fiber Optic Technician will also work to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems to ensure proper performance.
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections of fiber optic networks.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
• Document work performed, including maintenance logs and testing results.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve network issues.
• Provide technical support and training to customers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing techniques.
• Familiarity with fiber optic tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor settings.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Fiber Optic Association Certification) are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
