Liban Lait is the name of the largest dairy farm in Lebanon, founded in 1997. Liban Lait produces and distributes dairy products in Lebanon. It has a franchise agreement with Candia, the leading producers of UHT milk in France, allowing it to manufacture and distribute products under the Candia brand name.
Liban Lait is seeking a Distribution Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely delivery of dairy products to customers and distribution points. This role involves managing logistics operations, optimizing distribution routes, ensuring product quality during transit, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Distribution Manager plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, manage, and oversee the daily distribution operations to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and distributors.
• Optimize distribution routes and schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of dairy products to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Oversee the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs are performed to keep the fleet in optimal condition.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure cost-effective repairs.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Implement technology solutions, such as GPS tracking systems, to improve fleet efficiency.
• Ensure all distribution activities comply with local and international regulations, including food safety and transportation laws.
• Prepare and present regular reports on distribution performance, including key metrics like delivery times, costs, and customer feedback.
• Handle any logistics-related issues or disruptions, such as delays or damaged goods, in a timely manner.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to align distribution plans with business objectives.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, third-party logistics providers, and distributors to maintain smooth operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to distribution and delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in distribution/logistics management, preferably in the FMCG or dairy industry.
• Strong knowledge of logistics software and route optimization tools.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards related to the transportation of perishable goods.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
