Join our team at FDC as a Senior Supply Chain Officer and take charge of key supply chain functions, driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence!
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Monitoring:
- Update the “Purchase Plan” per SKU, aligning with actual sales, marketing plans, and updated forecasts.
- Regularly monitor stock levels and coverage to ensure optimum inventory management.
Order Processing:
- Place orders with suppliers within set deadlines and brand requirements, ensuring SCM approval.
- Optimize shipment quantities, values, and costs while ensuring supplier terms (discounts, free goods, etc.) are adhered to.
- Coordinate with suppliers to guarantee timely shipment and verify all draft and final documents prior to shipment arrival.
- Ensure payments to suppliers are settled as per agreed terms, including handling Letter of Credit (L/C) processing when applicable.
- Collaborate with treasury for monthly cash flow and clearing forecasts.
Shipment Coordination:
- Send Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to Supply Chain Assistants and coordinate freight routing and shipments from origin to destination.
- Follow up on clearance procedures to ensure prompt delivery to the warehouse, resolving any delays.
- Work closely with clearing agents, warehouses, and insurance companies to ensure efficient goods receipt and claims management.
Insurance & Claims Management:
- Ensure all consignments are appropriately covered by insurance.
- Raise claims to suppliers or insurance companies and follow up until resolution.
Budgeting & Cost Analysis:
- Prepare landed cost studies for new brands or products.
- Generate annual cost and selling reports, while justifying variances between actual and budgeted landed costs when needed.
- Calculate and schedule order quantities and values as per yearly contracts.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
- Train new joiners on workflow processes and best practices.
- Supervise and guide the FMCG team to achieve operational goals.
- Analyze data variables to suggest order volume adjustments and improve current workflows.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on the overall supply chain unit’s performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration (MBA is a plus).
- Experience: 3–4 years in a similar role within supply chain management.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Oracle/ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English (French is a plus).
- Certifications in logistics, demand planning, or related fields are an added advantage.
