JOB SUMMARY
The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager implements strategic plans and supervises daily activities of a quality assurance division. This includes creation, review or revision of policies that affect processes in a working environment. The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager is also responsible for creating audit programs to review various processes in a work environment to ensure standards are being followed. The Manager coordinates with other managers to discuss quality control standards according to their function within the organizational chart of a business or organization. The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager constantly meets with senior management.

JOB SKILLS
• Responsible for planning and directing quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives.
• Direct quality during process and production to ensure quality standards are met during production.
• Responsible for planning and directing quality activities in support of the company’s quality assurance operations: developing and executing the company’s process control and quality management systems to meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Food Safety Management system (ISO 22000:2005) in place as well as daily follow ups on site and verification of monitoring sheets.
• Determine, review and approve supplier’s performance as per required specifications.
• Develop and maintain QA standards relating to processes and products
• Maintain systems to measure performance against established standards
• Ensure QA team and employees use quality tools to improve the company’s accuracy, efficiency and profitability
• Implement approved sampling, reporting and data analysis as required
• Participate in customer and supplier meetings
• Supervise, communicate with and provide direction on quality issues on a regular basis to all the employees

• Manage the QMS system and develop reporting procedures
• Manage Quality related communications across all departments
• Contribute to awareness of corporate direction, mission, aims and activities
• Contribute to formulation of policy and strategy as a member of the management team
• Conduct Internal Audits
• Responsible for continuous improvement in the Quality Department including knowledge, capabilities and efficiencies
• To review policies and improvise plans to improve upon the existing quality standards.
• To review and analyze the effectiveness any modification made.
• Outlets spot-check and internal audits.
• Involved in all new QA Clinical activities and in all Clinical QA related trouble shooting
• Manages and maintains data bases for the quality system and prepares/assists in preparation of annual reports and quality trending reports
• Reports the status of the quality levels of staff, systems and production activities and participates in improvement programs
• Participates in the evaluation of quality events, incidents and possible complaints and the follow-up activities in the various departments
• Prepares and conducts required food safety trainings to all new hired as well as schedules refresh trainings to the current staff as per the business needs
• Responsible of the schedule, timings, trainings and well-being of all the company stewards and cleaners
• Keep up to date with all related quality legislation and compliance issues

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor's or master's degree in business, science or a related field is required
• Good knowledge in FSSC 22.000
• Good knowledge in HACCP/ISO 22000 regulations
• Safe Food Handling and first aid is a must.
