The Sales Engineer with an Electrical background is responsible for driving sales and providing technical expertise for electrical products and systems. This role involves working closely with clients, understanding their technical requirements, and offering tailored solutions. The Sales Engineer acts as a bridge between the company’s technical team and customers, ensuring that products meet customer needs while providing support throughout the sales process. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their electrical needs and offering tailored solutions.
Provide technical support and expertise to clients, explaining complex electrical systems and products in a clear and understandable manner.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and consultations to explain technical features and benefits to customers.
Collaborate with the engineering team to design and propose custom solutions based on customer specifications.
Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotes, and contracts for clients.
Support the sales process from initial inquiry through to project completion, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
Provide after-sales support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving customer concerns related to the electrical products or systems.
Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies, industry trends, and competitor products to remain competitive in the market.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and network with potential clients.
Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline, and market trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in sales or business development within the electrical industry or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical products, systems, and applications.
Experience with electrical design software and tools is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
