Information Technology Application Developer

Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled Application Developer with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP to support, develop, and enhance business applications for the Retail or FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in customizing, integrating, and optimizing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) or Business Central to streamline supply chain, sales, inventory, and financial processes. This role requires collaboration with business analysts, IT teams, and end-users to improve system efficiency and support business growth.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Policies and Procedures

Implement Operation department’s established policies and procedures and comply with Tawfeer’s other policies

ERP Development & Customization:

Develop, configure, and enhance Dynamics 365 ERP (F&O or Business Central) for Retail & FMCG business operations.

Customize modules for inventory management, procurement, sales, supply chain, and financials. Develop and maintain workflows, extensions, forms, and business logic using X++ (for F&O) or AL (for Business Central).

Integration & API Development

Integrate ERP with POS (Point of Sale), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), E-commerce platforms, CRM, and third-party logistics providers. Develop and manage APIs and web services using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and RESTful APIs. Ensure seamless data synchronization between online and offline retail stores, warehouses, and financial systems.

Database Management & Reporting:

Work with SQL Server, Power BI, and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for data analytics and reporting.

Develop custom reports and dashboards for tracking sales, inventory levels, pricing, promotions, and financial performance.

Testing & Deployment

Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT for new features and system upgrades.

Manage version control and deployment using Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services (LCS), or Git.

Support & Maintenance

Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues in sales, supply chain, and finance modules.

Provide technical support and user training for retail and FMCG business teams.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with merchandising, finance, supply chain, and IT teams to gather business requirements.

Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and SOPs for ERP applications.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Work Experience

3+ years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP for Retail or FMCG industries.

Strong expertise in X++ (Dynamics 365 F&O) or AL (Business Central).

Experience with Retail POS systems, e-commerce integrations, or warehouse automation is a plus.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services, Azure Functions, and Dataverse.

Strong knowledge of inventory, pricing, promotions, sales orders, and financial workflows in Retail/FMCG businesses.

Experience with SQL databases, data migrations, and ERP custom reports.

Ability to automate business processes using Power Automate or custom ERP extensions.
