Attending surgical procedures to help surgeons implant prostheses or medical implants is the primary responsibility of Technicians.
Education:
BS, LT, or TS degrees were earned by nursing/physiotherapy graduates.

A strong understanding of anatomy and physiology is a prerequisite.
• Surgical instruments and the operating room.

Qualifications: • Strong dedication to business objectives; • Excellent technical skills; • Good communicator and listener.

An explanation of the duties and obligations of the technician:

The technician's tasks are divided into three steps.

1. Pre-operation:
• The technician attending the surgery should be knowledgeable and experienced with the process and related instruments.
• Surgical technique. • Sets and instruments. • Implant requirements and available sizes.
• Stay informed about operation times and communicate with hospital and corporate representatives for updates.
• Ensure timely arrival at the hospital.

2. Intra-op:
• Make sure that all sets and implants are available and correct.
• Check the quantity and types of sets using the sent check list.
• Receive the delivery note.
• Arrange the sets and implants in the operating room.
• Wash hands in a surgical hand washing way and attend the surgery.
• Open the instruments in sterile way.
• Assist surgeon during surgery.
• Provide all his experience for the success of the surgery.
• Maintain and handling instruments well to protect it from damage.


3. Post-op:
• Fill the hospital form of used items.
• Send a copy of report to the company.
• Wash and sterlize the instruments.
• Check all instruments and re-arrange them in the sets.
• Re-arrange the implants in bags.
• Write a feedback about the procedure.
• Send a complaint report for any specific concerns:
 Instruments or implants damage.
 Shortfalls with instruments of implants.
 Problem with surgeons
