Our client is transitioning their online website to Shopify and is seeking an experienced and highly skilled E-commerce Manager to oversee and manage the migration, ongoing development, and daily operations of their Shopify store. As their Shopify Expert, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the store runs smoothly, optimizing the user experience, and implementing effective strategies to drive growth.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the transition of our website to Shopify, ensuring a seamless migration of product data, customer information, and order history.
• Oversee daily operations of the Shopify store, including inventory management, product listings, and customer support.
• Implement and manage Shopify apps and integrations to enhance store functionality.
• Design, develop, and optimize product pages, collections, and checkout experiences to improve conversion rates and customer engagement.
• Manage SEO, content, and digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales to the store.
• Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
• Ensure the store’s compliance with industry standards and best practices for security and payment systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, trends, and e-commerce best practices to continually improve store performance.
• Manage and mentor a small team and work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and customer service teams.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in any related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience managing Shopify stores with a deep understanding of the platform, themes, and apps.
• Strong expertise in Shopify Plus (if applicable), with experience in store migrations, customizations, and advanced features.
• Experience with Shopify Liquid coding, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to make custom edits and enhancements.
• Ability to manage product catalogs, including bulk product imports, SKU management, pricing strategies, and inventory tracking.
• Expertise in Shopify analytics and Google Analytics to monitor store performance, track sales, and generate actionable insights.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO, SEM, and content marketing strategies to optimize the store and increase visibility.
• Experience in setting up and optimizing email marketing campaigns (via Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.) and leveraging social media for e-commerce.
• Strong knowledge of e-commerce best practices, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and customer retention strategies.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Preferred Qualifications:
- Shopify Plus certification or other relevant e-commerce certifications.
- Familiarity with Shopify POS and integration with physical stores (if applicable).
- Experience in the specific industry your business operates in (e.g., fashion, electronics, beauty, etc.)
