Develop purchasing strategies, policies, and planning.
Prioritize purchasing projects and management
Implement and monitor cost-saving budgeting and targeting.
Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery timelines, etc.
Set up the inventory control system.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand; establish the amount needed to be stocked, and par-stock for each item.
Consolidate purchases with close coordination with the finance department to achieve maximum economic benefit.
Manage and control quality (including but not limited to QA (Quality assurance) systems).
Forge proactive liaison with the Head of Departments, Management, and Directors across the restaurants and Spectrum office team as necessary to forecast, plan to meet, and supply demand to relevant quality.
Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and continuously look for new suppliers.
Optimize and manage payment terms.
Negotiate and administrate purchasing contracts.
Set and efficiently plan to achieve supplier accreditation and service-level management while remaining compliant with the company’s policy, procedures, and practices.
Manage purchasing information and systems.
Produce reports and statistics on spending and savings.
Ensure the company's purchasing systems are up to date with products and pricing to facilitate its smooth operation at the restaurant level.
Build and Develop purchasing team skills and competencies.
Create the needed policies and SOPs for warehousing and distribution that guarantees proper operation and quality assurance (i.e. central kitchen)
