Position Summary / Job Brief:
As a Projects Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of electrical systems across diverse projects, from design to implementation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety, and client specifications. Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) is a plus.
Required Experience & Certificates:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on project execution, design, and management. Previous experience in the construction, industrial, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
PMP, or other relevant certifications in project management or electrical engineering is a plus.
Required Skills:
-Expertise in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and electrical protection.
-Proficiency in using electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc.).
-Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, and local regulations).
-Strong understanding of electrical load calculations, fault analysis, and system integration.
-Experience in managing projects from concept to completion.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Fluency in Arabic, English, and French (written and spoken) is required.
Tasks and Duties:
-Lead the design, development, and optimization of electrical systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, electrical panels, and control systems.
-Oversee the electrical aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with project specifications. Manage resources, scheduling, and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
-Prepare and review technical documentation, including electrical schematics, layouts, specifications, and calculations. Ensure all designs are aligned with client requirements and industry standards.
-Ensure the electrical systems are designed and installed to meet safety standards, codes (such as IEC, NEC, and local regulations), and best practices in the industry. Conduct inspections and quality control during execution.
-Provide on-site support, conducting site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Ensure the safe installation and operation of electrical components, and troubleshoot any issues during the construction phase.
-Work closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure integration of electrical systems with other project components.
-Assist in selecting and managing electrical equipment and materials, ensuring procurement is done in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting quality standards.
-Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any technical concerns or issues that arise.
-Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in all electrical work, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members and stakeholders.
-Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during project execution, ensuring that electrical systems perform efficiently and effectively under operational conditions.
