Job Summary:
The Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to club members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Waiter ensures that all guests receive prompt, courteous, and high-quality service in accordance with the club’s standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, offering recommendations when needed.
Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and quality.
Address guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Ensure that all guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience.
Operations & Compliance:
Set up tables, ensuring proper alignment, cleanliness, and appropriate tableware.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
Follow club service procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety guidelines.
Assist in inventory control and restocking supplies as needed.
Follow cash handling and billing procedures accurately when processing payments.
Teamwork & Communication:
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
Communicate guest preferences or special requests to the appropriate department.
Attend team briefings, training sessions, and meetings as required.
Support colleagues in maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a fine-dining restaurant, luxury hotel, or private club.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Language: Proficiency in English; Arabic and/or French is an advantage.
Appearance & Professionalism: Well-groomed, presentable, and adhering to the club’s uniform and grooming standards.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours, lift trays, and carry items as needed.
