Senior Social Media Manager

As a Senior Social Media Manager, you will lead the strategic planning, execution, and performance of social media campaigns across multiple client portfolios. You will be the go-to expert for developing culturally relevant content and engagement strategies that resonate with diverse Middle Eastern audiences. You’ll manage a team of community managers, and collaborate closely with Content Creator, Performance Analysts, account leads, creatives, and paid media specialists.

Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives and regional market trends.
- Lead content planning across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter/X, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Conduct competitor analysis and audience research specific to Middle Eastern markets.

Client Management

- Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients across sectors such as F&B, fashion, entertainment, and government.
- Present campaign plans, reports, and performance insights with confidence and clarity.

Content Oversight

- Guide the creative direction of social content, ensuring cultural sensitivity and brand alignment.
- Approve content calendars, ensuring tone, visuals, and messaging are effective and locally resonant.
- Collaborate with creators and influencers from the region to deliver engaging campaigns.

Team Leadership

- Manage and mentor a growing social media team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee workload distribution, feedback loops, and professional development plans.

Performance & Reporting

- Monitor KPIs and social media analytics tools to track performance and optimize results.
- Translate data into actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Crisis & Community Management Support

- Guide the team in sensitive scenarios, including real-time response planning during crisis moments.
- Provide oversight on tone of voice and moderation strategies in line with local culture.

Requirements:

- 6-8 years of experience in social media, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead
role within an agency environment
- Proven track record of leading successful regional campaigns for Middle Eastern audiences
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and algorithms
- Strong grasp of Arabic and English content strategy
- Culturally attuned and aware of sensitivities in Gulf and wider MENA markets
- Strong leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Expertise in analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Social bakers, Meltwater, Meta
Business Suite)
- Experience managing influencer collaborations and digital partnerships
- Ability to balance creativity with data-led decisions
- High attention to detail, organized, and deadline-driven
