A well known group of companies is looking for a Financial Controller who will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial statements while supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate policies, and external audit requirements.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure timely financial filings.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and monitor the annual budget, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize budget allocation.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management.
- Implement strategies to optimize cash usage and reduce financial risks.
- Maintain strong banking relationships and oversee financing activities.
4. Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Improve accounting processes and systems for operational efficiency.
5. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the accounting & finance team, ensuring professional development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective collaboration between finance and other business functions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in accounting & financial management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Preferred Industry Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing or FMCG or retail, or financial services is a plus.
- Background in multinational or listed companies is advantageous.
