Position Title: AML/CFT Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced AML/CFT Officer to join our compliance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply anti-money laundering regulations and help prevent financial crimes. As an AML/CFT Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and investigating suspicious activities, reporting, and maintaining an effective compliance framework to safeguard the company’s interests.

What will your day look like?
• Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) processes, including KYC (Know Your Customer) & KYE (Know Your Employee) verifications and reviews.
• Monitor and analyze transactions for suspicious activity, identifying potential money laundering risks.
• Investigate and report suspicious transactions, preparing detailed Suspicious Activity Reports for submission to the competent Lebanese authorities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective AML controls and foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Lebanese AML regulations & international standards & best practices.
• Ensure that all AML-related records and reports are accurate, properly documented and maintained.
• Develop, implement and maintain AML compliance policies and procedures in accordance with Lebanese laws and regulations, including the Central Bank of Lebanon's guidelines.

You are the AML/CFT Officer we are looking for if you have:
• BS degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in an AML or compliance role, preferably within a fintech.
• In-depth knowledge of AML laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (French is a plus).
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, with attention to detail
