On behalf of our client in Kinshasa, we are seeking to recruit an "Logistics & Customs Manager".
Key Responsibilities:
● Carry out any other duties required as part of the role,
● Monitor maritime & air import/export files,
● Oversee customs declarants,
● Track shipments,
● Stay informed about current regulations, laws, and applicable rates,
● Optimize import and export costs,
● Maintain and update all internal procedures for the department,
● Communicate risks to operations in close collaboration with the technical manager, stock manager, and procurement manager,
● Coordinate the logistics and customs (transit) team.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply chain or related fields preferred,
● 5 years of experience in a customs or logistics role,
● Strong knowledge of freight / customs / logistics operations is a prerequisite,
● Rigor and organizational skills are essential: ability to oversee the team, manage the volume of files, and ensure compliance with regulatory procedures,
● Ability to manage a diverse team is a key asset,
● Patience and stress management,
● Proficiency in Excel and experience with an ERP system are essential,
● Fluent in both French and English.
