Junior operations specialist air & sea freight

Location: Beirut, Lebanon
Reports To: BPO Supervisor (Lebanon)
Languages Required: Arabic and English (mandatory); French is a plus
Working Hours: 40–48 hours/week, following client country schedules; possible shift work. Hybrid model allowed after 6 months (minimum 3.5 days in-office)

Scope of Work and Responsibilities
The Junior Operations Specialist is responsible for executing freight forwarding back-office tasks in support of multinational logistics operations in Europe and the Middle East. The role involves daily work in Cargo Wise One (CW1), focusing on data accuracy, compliance with procedures, and timely coordination with client-side teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Enter and validate operational data for air and sea shipments using Cargo Wise.
• Create shipments, house/master documents (HAWB, MAWB, HBL, MBL), and link proper documentation to jobs.
• Extract shipment information from commercial documents (Invoices, Packing Lists, BLs, AWBs).
• Follow SOPs and workflows provided by client offices, escalating any inconsistencies.
• Classify and store electronic documents correctly in the system (eDocs and document tree).
• Ensure shipment milestones are updated and monitored.
• Communicate with agents or internal teams for missing information.
• Respect naming conventions, formatting standards, and organizational data protocols.


Compliance and Discipline:
• No data should be overridden or entered manually outside SOP guidance.
• Mandatory fields (e.g., phone numbers for organizational creation) must be sourced properly. Improvised entries are strictly prohibited.
• Escalate any uncertainties to the Supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to internal rules regarding turnaround times, escalation protocols, and documentation control
