Job purpose summary:
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
Required skills & qualifications:
High school/technical diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the F&B industry
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, PLCs, industrial automation, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with maintenance practices & preventive maintenance programs
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures applicable to industrial environments.
Duties & responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation and setup of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery according to electrical codes and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems, controls, PLCs, and industrial automation equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues using electrical testing equipment and implement appropriate solutions to restore functionality.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Work closely with the maintenance team, production staff, and engineers to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and support production goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, energy efficiency, and cost reduction related to electrical systems and equipment.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
