We are seeking a highly skilled and creatively-driven Social Media Video Editor to join our team. This role is crucial for transforming raw footage and creative concepts into captivating, high-performing video content tailored for all major social media platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Editing:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, dynamic, and engaging video content optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Master the creation of short-form, attention-grabbing content that aligns with current social media trends and platform best practices.
Implement all aspects of post-production, including:
- Trimming, cutting, and sequencing clips for storytelling flow and pacing.
- Color correction and color grading; Sound mixing, balancing, and syncing audio tracks, dialogue, and music/SFX.
- Adding on-screen text, captions, graphics, and motion graphics (where necessary).
- Applying visual effects and transitions.
- Repurpose and adapt existing long-form content (e.g., webinars, interviews, commercials) into multiple "snackable" video formats for various social channels.
- Ensure all videos adhere to client brand guidelines, project specifications, and accessibility requirements.
Collaboration & Strategy:
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Videographers, Social Media Managers, and client teams to conceptualize and execute video campaigns.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and project teams efficiently and effectively to deliver final edits.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media video trends, editing techniques, and platform algorithm changes, and proactively incorporate them into creative strategies.
Workflow Management:
- Manage, organize, and archive all video files, project media, and assets to ensure a smooth and organized workflow.
- Deliver final video files in various required formats and resolutions, ensuring optimization for each specific platform.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Proven Experience: 4+ years of professional video editing experience, specifically within a social media or digital marketing context, demonstrated by a strong portfolio/reel.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
Social Media Fluency: Deep understanding of the technical requirements, content styles, and audience expectations for video on major social platforms (especially TikTok and Instagram).
Storytelling: Exceptional visual storytelling skills with a strong sense of pace, timing, and narrative structure.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of post-production, especially in audio and visual quality control.
Communication: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative decisions clearly.

- Proficiency in motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
