Project Management Officer - relocation to Dakar

On behalf of our client in Senegal - Dakar, we are seeking to recruit an "Project Management Officer" - reporting directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

● Coordinate all stakeholders to ensure project consistency;
● Develop the project schedule and ensure compliance;
● Act as the reference contact in meetings and draft minutes to share with all participants;
● Manage the budget and provide recommendations if adjustments are needed for resource allocation (IT, financial, human, etc.);
● Identify potential risks and assess the criticality of available resources;
● Develop a comprehensive vision to align all projects toward a specific goal (such as implementing a transformation program);
● Identify weak points in the program deployment and optimize them through stakeholder engagement;
● Identify and manage risks inherent to program deployment (technical, human, financial);
● Ensure the project rollout across various aspects (deliverable quality, schedule adherence, progress on digital projects, budget tracking, etc.);
● Identify bottlenecks affecting project progress and resolve them to facilitate deployment;
● Develop and implement problem-solving methods around projects;
● Establish and manage a control framework to ensure adherence to procedures and methodologies;
● Centralize information to ensure fluid communication and facilitate exchanges among all stakeholders;
● Adapt communication style to diverse audiences and explain project progress from each stakeholder’s perspective;
● Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (IT, marketing, finance, HR...) and external partners, including through vendor management;
● Prepare project progress reports, analyze results, and recommend continuous improvement measures.

Skills required:
● Understanding of both technical and functional challenges across various topics (CRM, ERP deployment, WMS...);
● Mastery of company processes;
● Ability to manage cross-functional digital transformation projects;
● Familiarity with budget management and financial methodologies;
● Knowledge of cost accounting and management control methods (full cost, profit centers...);
● Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint;

Qualifications:
● Master’s degree (Business School, Engineering School, or equivalent university degree).
● 2–3 years in an audit firm combined with 2–3 years in a corporate finance department.
● Fluent in Arabic; French and English
