Chief Accountant – Retail Shopping Center - Beirut, Lebanon - $3000–$3500

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting operations: AP/AR, bank reconciliation, payroll entries, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly and year-end closing, financial reports, and trial balances.
• Ensure accuracy of invoices, payments, provisions, and accruals.
• Monitor collections, supplier accounts, and internal cost controls.
• Prepare tax declarations (VAT, income tax, NSSF) and ensure compliance with Lebanese regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Supervise and guide junior accountants.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese accounting standards, taxation, and month-end closing.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
