Position Overview
The Procurement & Logistics Officer will support the sourcing, purchasing, and movement of IT equipment, software licenses, and related services. This role ensures efficient procurement processes, timely delivery, and accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and logistics partners to maintain smooth operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Duties
• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for IT hardware, software, and services.
• Prepare purchase requests, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors under guidance.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor databases.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in forecasting procurement needs.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and budget approvals.
Logistics Duties
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of IT equipment.
• Track deliveries, ensuring timely arrival and resolving shipping issues.
• Work with logistics partners to manage customs, courier services, and freight requirements.
• Support asset tagging, inventory updates, and warehouse organization.
• Assist in preparing and packing materials for deployment to clients or internal teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with IT teams to understand technical requirements.
• Liaise with Finance for invoice verification, payments, and supplier reconciliation.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet delivery timelines for ongoing contracts.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or operations (IT industry preferred).
• Basic understanding of IT equipment (laptops, servers, network devices) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight timelines.
