We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Auditor to join FAA Advisory & Audit firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing audit engagements, reviewing financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations, and supporting clients across various industries. The role requires strong analytical skills, professional judgment, and advanced Excel proficiency.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Participate in external and internal audit engagements in accordance with Lebanese Standards.
• Plan and perform audit procedures, including risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and substantive testing.
• Review and analyze financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Lebanese tax laws, VAT regulations, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Prepare audit working papers, reports, and management letters with clear findings and recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns, VAT filings, and reconciliations where required.
• Communicate professionally with clients to obtain audit evidence and clarify accounting matters.
• Identify control weaknesses and provide practical recommendations to improve processes and efficiency.
• Support junior staff through guidance, review of work, and on-the-job coaching.
• Coordinate with audit managers and partners to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
• Professional certifications (or progress toward them) such as CertIFR, ACCA, or CMA are a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS.
• Good understanding of Lebanese tax laws and VAT is preferred.

Required Experience
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in an audit firm.
• Hands-on experience in auditing SMEs and mid-sized companies across different sectors.
• Proven experience in preparing audit files and dealing with client-facing assignments
