Role summary and impact
The Senior E-commerce Executive plays a pivotal role in leading and optimizing WPP Media activations on e-commerce platforms, driving deeper integration between brand and e-commerce media strategies. This position is responsible for strategic oversightof the planning and buying of digital media across key e-commerce channels for all GroupM product categories. You will be a seasoned, strategic, and analytical leader, directly contributing to the growth, innovation, and overall success of our clients' digital retail presence.
- Support the Head of E-commerce in developing eCommerce media plans.
- Work with eCommerce partners in the briefing, development and execution of media plans.
- Maintain and develop agency relationships with current and new media vendors; evaluate new media types/outlets and engage weekly/bi-weekly with partners to deliver new testing techniques.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day queries on plans and executions.
- Lead weekly/bi-weekly client calls, ensuring all discussed points are tracked and actions are executed accordingly.
- Update status sheets for regular internal and client meetings, facilitating clear communication and progress tracking.
- Assist the Manager on adhoc client/global requests to help source information and address local/global needs.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of each client's commerce business, including their business model, operations, ROI, financial performance, and key success factors.
- Retail readiness expertise, including the ability to audit clients' e-commerce presence and deploy optimization roadmaps.
- Proactively monitor the competitive landscape and alert clients to competitor activity that could impact their business.
- Stay up to date on new tools, both internal and market-leading, to continuously improve campaign planning, execution, optimizations, and reporting.
- Own the financial process for clients, including Purchase Orders (PO), Booking Orders (BO), and invoicing, ensuring operations are 100% compliant and campaigns launch only after PO/BO receipt.
- Deliver comprehensive monthly spend reports using media plan entry tools, and support managers in extracting, building, and presenting cross-channel reports with actionable insights that drive improvements for the client's business.
- Produce, use, and deliver suitable historical results & insights from reports, conducting benchmark reporting and analysis on new client campaigns and business performance trends for the client, category, and competition.
- Contribute to new business pitches by providing discovery and competitive landscape analysis using internal tools and frameworks (e.g., DPAM, retailer prioritization, portfolio planning).
- Develop an understanding of the services we offer and how we offer them.
- Ensure campaigns adhere to the quality assurance framework and follow pillar guidelines.
