Review project specifications, drawings, and material requirements.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate supplier quotations based on technical compliance, pricing, delivery schedule, and quality standards.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions with vendors.
Prepare comparison sheets and procurement recommendations.
Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams to ensure procurement schedules align with project timelines.
Source new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
Monitor material deliveries and resolve any supply chain or logistics issues.
Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and company standards.
Maintain procurement records, contracts, purchase orders, and supplier databases.
Track market trends, pricing, and availability of construction materials.
Support cost-saving initiatives and procurement process improvements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in procurement within the construction or contracting industry.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical specifications, and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven expertise in Supplier Evaluation and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes
Solid experience in preparing and managing Purchase Orders
Strong Analytical Skills to assess procurement options and strategies
Excellent Communication skills for coordination with suppliers and internal teams
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Prior experience in the construction or engineering sector is an advantage
