Job Overview:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating the progress of the projects under development from start to finish. This includes monitoring of real estate projects, as well as ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time.

Main Functions and Responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for all performed activities as well-planned activities.
• Ensure that works are completed on time within the agreed budget in a quality and efficient manner.
• Coordinate tenants’ changes customization with the consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Meet with suppliers and vendors as needed.
• Coordinate the workflow with the financial, legal, sales and marketing and auditing departments.
• Strive to ensure all work is completed with accuracy, of high quality and delivered on time.
• Monitor the construction management work and conduct regular job site inspections highlighting potential areas of concern.
• Report daily progress, non-compliance, and delay in work and provide a recommendation.
• Check the performance of all contractors/subcontractors and review architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Attend meetings with the Architect, Engineer, Contractor, or Sub Contractors when needed.
• File & store all project information and keep current drawings according to company procedure.
• Maintain open communication with all team members.
• Will likely work on more than one project at a time.

Inside the organization:

• Daily contact with employees from all departments.
• Daily contact with Unit Heads, Department Managers.
• Regular contact with the Head of Projects Development.

Outside the organization:

• Contact service providers, tenants, and legal authorities.

Job Requirement:

Academic:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture or Civil Engineering (Master / or PMP is a plus).

Ability

Highly motivated with the ability to carry out tasks with little supervision.

Related Work Experience:

• Minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer.
• Knowledge in various aspects of the construction field.
• Construction Management and Site Visit.

Language skills:

English and Arabic, French is a plus.

Computer Literacy:

MS Office / Advanced level in Excel.

Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D Max is a plus.
