Job Description & Summary
The Resource Workforce team is a critical part of PwC Deals business and plays a crucial role in enabling the business to respond and pivot quickly to meet client and project demands. As a team, we maximize resource sharing and enable the delivery of the Deals practice to our clients through line of service staffing, forecasting, utilization, and workload balance while considering development and diversity initiatives.
As a Resourcing Manager within the Deals line of service, you will play a key role in ensuring effective and agile resource allocation across various business units. This position involves strategic planning and resolving conflicts to align resources with business needs, employee preferences, and development priorities.

Responsibilities
As a Resourcing Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with Engagement leads to understand project specifics and competencies for each role
- Match employees to projects based on skills, career aspirations, and developmental needs
- Manage the deployment cycle of staff across various projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing downtime
- Develop and implement strategic resource allocation plans that align with PwC's long-term business goals
- Analyze project requirements, forecast resource needs, and plan accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels without overutilization
- Initiate and oversee professional development programs that align with staffing strategies
- Update and refine staffing guidelines to adapt to changing business needs and market trends
- Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, including project teams, senior management, and external clients
- Act as a liaison between staff and management, advocating for employee needs while ensuring business objectives are met
- Oversee creation and distribution of detailed staffing reports that track resource allocation, utilization rates, and project performance
- Analyze data to identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and make informed decisions to optimize resource use
- Address and resolve conflicts from staffing decisions, including disputes over resource allocation and project assignments
- Lead, mentor, and develop the resourcing team
Requirements
- 6+ years in a Human resources or resource management, with a focus on staffing and talent development.
- Proven experience as a Resource or Staffing Manager, preferably within a professional services environment or or a similar role in a large organization
- Hands on experience with capacity planning and workforce forecasting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships and negotiate with stakeholders
- Ability to handle pressure and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a focus on confidentiality and ethical behavior
- Proficiency in data analysis and report generation using various software tools
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent organizational skills
