Roles and Responsibilities of a Senior Social Media Executive


1. **Strategic Planning & Execution**

- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with the brand’s goals and objectives.

- Plan and oversee the execution of content calendars across all social media platforms, ensuring consistency with the brand’s voice and tone.

- Monitor key trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive in the digital space.


2. **Content Creation & Management**

- Collaborate with creative teams to develop engaging, high-quality content (visuals, videos, graphics, and copy) for social media channels.

- Lead brainstorming sessions for campaign ideas and ensure content aligns with the brand’s identity and target audience.

- Schedule and manage all social media posts, ensuring timely and consistent delivery across platforms.


3. **Analytics & Performance Tracking**

- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of social media campaigns and posts using tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.

- Make data-driven recommendations to improve engagement, reach, and conversion rates.

- Set up KPIs and regularly track progress to optimize future campaigns.


4. **Community Management & Engagement**

- Oversee community management efforts, ensuring prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries, comments, and messages across platforms.

- Implement strategies to grow engagement and foster a positive online community for the brand.

- Handle crisis management or any sensitive issues that may arise on social platforms in a professional manner.



5. **Client Communication**

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients or internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on campaign progress and performance.

- Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering expert insights and strategic recommendations.

6. **Team Collaboration & Mentorship**

- Work closely with other departments (creative, marketing, PR) to ensure a cohesive digital marketing strategy.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior social media executives and content creators, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth.

This role is designed for someone with extensive experience in social media who can lead initiatives, take ownership of strategy, and contribute to the overall digital growth of the brand.
