Baalbaki Chemical Industries (BCI) is a leading polyurethane system and polyurethane raw material supplier in the Middle East with production facilities in UAE, Egypt & KSA and operations in Turkey, Jordan, Algeria, and Lebanon. We produce Aromatic and Aliphatic Polyester Polyols; Isocyanate Pre-polymers; and Formulated Polyurethane Systems. BCI has integrated polyesters; bulk delivery possibilities; and a complete range of Polyurethane Systems covering applications in Insulation; Footwear; Automotive; Seating; and Adhesives.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize Freight Agreements for both Import & Export
- Maintain a monthly updated database for all costs and lead times from buses to potential destinations
- Assist in controlling freight purchases and settlements
- Study and implement new or improved freight routes
- Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for logistics activities and track results monthly
- Establish an efficient setup for Triangular Trade Operations
- Follow up on the timely execution of the procurement plan
- Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement activities
- Participate in activities related to strategic or tactical procurement decisions
- Document and follow up on the proper implementation of procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Keep track of demurrages and follow up with the Order Processing Team for debit note settlement
- Review and supervise monthly Direct Import Cost & Direct Selling Cost Meetings
- Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, etc
- Implement solutions to improve tracking and reporting of all supply chain activities
- Participate in monthly supply chain meetings with different supply chain teams
- Assist in supporting business units not fully served currently by the supply chain team (BCI Europe - New Entities)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on logistics and procurement
- Strong command of the English language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong negotiation, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (ERP systems, data analysis tools, etc.)
