Job Summary
The Junior Procurement Officer assists in the procurement of goods and services required by the
organization. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, preparing purchase orders, tracking
deliveries, maintaining procurement records, and supporting senior procurement staff to ensure
cost-effective and timely purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning.
• Resolve issues related to deliveries, invoices, or order discrepancies.
• Support vendor evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Prepare procurement reports and purchasing analyses as required.
• Assist with contract administration and documentation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement,
Logistics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (internship
experience is an advantage).
• Basic understanding of procurement principles and purchasing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
