PositionJob Function: Design and develop electrical and low-current systems and supervise junior engineers
Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Reporting To: Electrical Department Lead
Key Responsibilities
Review technical offers, drawings, and designs prepared by junior electrical engineers.
Make independent technical decisions and provide guidance and feedback to junior engineers.
Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide technical clarifications.
Review and analyze MEP tenders to ensure compliance with project requirements and technical specifications.
Design and develop electrical and low-current systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security, and data networks.
Prepare detailed shop drawings and technical documentation for electrical and low-current systems.
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for estimation and tendering purposes.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals for MEP tenders, including cost estimates, material specifications, and technical submittals.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, construction teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure effective project execution and material selection.
Ensure designs comply with applicable international and local electrical standards, codes, and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical engineering standards, technologies, and industry practices.
RequirementsMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the MEP field.
Strong experience in the design and development of electrical and low-current systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering/design software.
Experience in BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and MEP tendering.
Strong understanding of applicable international and local electrical standards and codes.
Ability to review technical work, make independent decisions, and supervise junior engineers.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, professional approach.
Good command of French and English.
