Job Summary:
The Design Engineer is responsible for reviewing specifications and other data to develop mechanical layouts. Have strong working knowledge of mechanical parts as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software. Also required to travel to job sites to measure physical dimensions for piping and LPG system installation works
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Expert in AutoCAD 2D.
- Ability to logically analyze Mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting) AutoCad Drawings Layout.
- Carry out instructions on modifications as assigned by the Installation Manager.
- Knowledge of Mechanical symbols and Definitions.
- Knowledge of Shop Drawing Production of the following activities:
- Drainage Systems
- Water Supply
- Fire Fighting Piping Layout
- Pump Room Details
- Ductwork Layout
- FCU, AHU, DX-Split & Chiller Units Details
- Chilled water piping and AC Copper Piping Layouts
- Capable of generating Single line and Riser Diagrams of the various Mechanical Activities
- Reflected Ceiling drawings.
- Should have ability to create manual and computer based drawings.
- Should have the skills to create two and three dimensional drawings.
- Should be able to create drawings according to the requirements of the client.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• A Certification Degree or a Technical degree from a recognized institute with a minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Design Department
• He should be innovative and able to comprehend the message of the developers for which the sketch is being prepared.
• Should have knowledge of two and three dimensional drawings.

• Should be able to listen to the demands of the employer or understanding their needs before preparing the sketches.
• Proper use of logic and reasoning for the projects to be prepared.
• Should understand the instructions of the employers and suggest changes or alterations that are to be included in a project along with architect and engineers.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, communicate clearly with all levels of employees
