Radiologist needed for a private clinic in Benin Africa.
a. Qualifications
• A medical degree, such as MD or MBChB, from a recognized university.
• FRCS, American Board (or equivalent) as Radiologist held for ten (10)
years.
b. Experience
• 10 years post graduate experience.
• At least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience in multicultural health care environment
• Experience with some form of hospital accreditation will be an asset.
• Skills in oral and written communication as well as computer literacy
(English and French).
c. Summary of Tasks
• The Radiologist is responsible for administrative, clinical and teaching
activities within the section and ensures discipline and smooth running of
the section. Adheres to the principles of continuous quality improvement
and ensures compliance with the Hospital’s Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and
Regulations, Ministry of Health regulations and international accreditation
standards as implemented from time to time.
• Responsible for regular meetings with staff in the department to ensure good
communication, quality control and team building.
• To supervise, coordinate and manage all radiology and medical imaging
diagnostic services throughout the organisation, inclusive of services
provided outside the main department.
• Modalities to be covered – General X-Ray, CT Scan, Mammography,
Ultrasound, Doppler.
• Implementation and maintenance of Radiology Safety Principles.
• Timeous reporting of all studies done in the department
