Location: Beirut, Verdun
Summary:
The Software Academy Manager is responsible for the overall operation and success of the academy location in Beirut's Verdun district. This includes managing the day-to-day activities, overseeing instructors and staff, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students, and achieving enrollment targets. The manager will collaborate closely with the company's marketing team to attract prospective students and will be directly responsible for converting those leads into enrolled students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Management:
o Manage the daily operations of the academy, including scheduling classes, managing resources, and maintaining facilities.
o Ensure a smooth and efficient learning experience for students, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
o Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and evaluations.
• Staff Management:
o Recruit, train, and supervise instructors and other academy staff (with support from HR).
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Curriculum and Instruction:
o Ensure the curriculum is up-to-date, relevant to industry needs, and aligned with the academy's educational standards
o Oversee the delivery of instruction, ensuring instructors are well-prepared and engaging.
o Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and make necessary adjustments.
• Student Acquisition:
o Work closely with the marketing team to understand the target audience and develop effective lead generation strategies.
o Follow up on leads generated by the marketing team, providing information about the academy's programs, answering questions, and guiding prospective students through the enrollment process.
o Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate applicants' suitability for the academy's programs.
o Build relationships with prospective students and their families, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
o Track and analyze student acquisition data to identify trends and optimize enrollment strategies.
• Financial Management:
o Manage the academy's budget, ensuring financial sustainability (with support from the finance team).
o Monitor revenue and expenses, identifying areas for cost savings or revenue growth.
o Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management.
• Community Engagement:
o Represent the academy at local events and conferences.
o Build partnerships with other organizations to expand the academy's reach and impact.
o Contribute to the development of the local tech community.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, education, business, or a related field.
• Experience:
o At least 3 years of experience in education or training, preferably in a tech-related field.
o Proven track record of successful team management and leadership.
o Experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
o Strong organizational and time management skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:
• Familiarity with the Lebanese education system and tech industry is a plus.
