Job Description

The role:

Senior Internal Auditor - Group

Summary of the role:

Under direction of the Group Internal Audit Head, the auditor is responsible for:

• the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan
• assisting in managing the CCM Program (Continuous Controls Monitoring)
• assisting with other audit matters and projects
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessment of assigned department or functional area in established/required timeline
• Establish risk-based audit programs
• Determine scope of review in conjunction with the Audit Head
• Review the suitability of internal control design
• Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues and dimension of risk
• Determine compliance with policies and procedures
• Verbally communicate findings to senior management and draft comprehensive and complete report of audit area
• Design, improve and follow the automated CCM scripts that address the main risks faced by the Sucafina Group. Understand and extract the most added value from the information stored in tables from SAP, SOL and any of the software used.
  
  

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• University degree in Accountancy.
• Specific certification desirable (CIA, Certified Internal Auditor).
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• A first experience in a Big4 followed by working for an Internal Audit department of a multinational company (preferred experience in a commodities trading company).
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory aspects, applicable laws, and best practices to execute adequate internal audit procedures
• Knowledge of the coffee business (or commodities trading) and the use of financial derivatives. Trading position and MtM (mark to market)
• Knowledge of planning and conducting audit procedures, risk assessments
• Experience in the preparation of audit work papers
• Knowledge (or interest to learn) about structuring an automated continuous controls monitoring framework
• Advanced knowledge of office programs, especially complex excel formulas and spreadsheets
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP desirable)
• Knowledge of audit techniques and frameworks (COSO, COBIT, ITIL)
• Knowledge of IT audit and security
• Experience as user of data extraction programs like ACL Analytics, IDEA
