Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Analyst at MASQ World located in Beirut. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, analyzing financial statements, producing financial reports, and managing finance-related activities to support the organization's financial goals.


Responsibilities


1.Financial Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial performance metrics. 
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders. 
  • Identify and communicate insights, trends, and opportunities to drive business performance and decision-making. 

2.Budgeting and Forecasting: 

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. 
  • Collaborate with department heads and business units to gather budget inputs and assumptions. 
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions as needed. 

3.Financial Modeling: 

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, capital investment decisions, and business valuation. 
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the potential impact of different business scenarios. 

4.Business Partnering: 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial insights and support. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the financial feasibility of new initiatives, projects, or investments. 

5.Ad-Hoc Analysis and Projects: 

  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis, special projects, and initiatives as assigned by management. 
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, memos, and reports for internal and external audiences. 

6.Cost Reduction and Performance Improvement: 

  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and enhance financial performance. 
  • Assemble and summarize data to create sophisticated reports on financial status and risks. 

7.Tax Planning 

  • Develop tax strategies and solutions 
  • Optimize tax position of various group entities 
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulation 
  • Conduct thorough research on emerging tax laws, regulations, and trends 
  • Identify and mitigate tax related risks 

8.Advising and Influencing Decision-Making: 

  • Identify trends and recommend actions to senior financial analysts based on sound analysis. 
  • Consult with management to guide long-term and strategic decision-making. 

9.Continuous Learning and Process Improvement:

  • Stay informed about financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money markets, and business environments. 
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives within the function.  



Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a finance analyst preferably in the business trading industry
  • Financial Planning and Analytical Skills
  • Experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Knowledge of finance principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
