The Office for Advancement & Business Development invites highly qualified individuals to submit their Applications for: Officer- Advancement Services
Reports to : Vice President - Advancement and Business Development (VPABD)
Job Purpose: Lead and oversee the operational aspects of the Advancement Services area including but not limited to database management and maintenance, advancement reporting, efficient gift recording and processing, fostering strong donor relations, and generating lists
Scope of Work :
1. Donor Data Management: Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring data accuracy and security, while coordinating with other departments.
2. Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze reports on donor activity and fundraising, providing insights and developing dashboards for decision-making.
3. Gift Processing: Oversee donation processing, ensure timely reconciliation, and manage donor acknowledgments.
4. System Administration: Act as the primary administrator for the donor management system, implementing updates and providing staff training.
5. Compliance and Data Security: Ensure legal compliance and data security, staying informed on best practices and trends.
6. Project Management: Lead or participate in projects related to data management, system enhancements, and process improvements, managing timelines and resources.
7. Support and Training: Provide training and resources to staff on data management and system usage.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3-5 years of experience working in Advancement/Development for higher education or a nonprofit; may be substituted with equivalent or similar experience in another relevant work environment. A master’s degrees a plus.
• Knowledge of fundraising and data analysis
• Knowledge of and prior use of Blackbaud's Raiser’s Edge (preferred)
• A comprehensive understanding of Advancement Services as a functional area.
