Role Overview:
The Academic Program Head for the UK Curriculum will lead the strategic development, implementation, and management of the UK-based academic programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the curriculum meets the highest standards of academic quality and aligns with the latest educational practices. The successful candidate will possess a master’s degree and have substantial experience in academic leadership and curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Management: Design, review, and update the UK curriculum to ensure it meets national and international standards and effectively addresses the needs of students.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and reputation of the UK curriculum programs. Ensure alignment with institutional goals and educational standards.
- Faculty Leadership: Recruit, train, and support faculty members. Foster a collaborative and innovative teaching environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the curriculum. Implement quality assurance processes to maintain and improve academic standards. Address any issues related to curriculum delivery.
- Student Support: Oversee student enrollment, progression, and support services. Ensure that students receive high-quality guidance and resources to support their academic journey.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including educational authorities, accreditation bodies, and industry partners. Represent the institution in relevant academic and professional forums.
- Resource Management: Develop and manage the budget for the UK curriculum programs. Ensure that resources are allocated effectively to support academic and operational goals.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on program performance, achievements, and areas for improvement to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field. A Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven years of experience in academic leadership roles, with a strong focus on UK curriculum programs. Proven track record in curriculum development, faculty management, and program administration.
