We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for a variety of projects. This role requires a deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, along with practical experience in the HVAC industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and energy efficiency.
- Perform load calculations to determine the heating, cooling, and ventilation needs of a building.
- Select and specify equipment, such as air handling units, boilers, chillers, and exhaust fans, based on system requirements.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with project specifications.
- Provide technical support during the design, construction, and post-installation phases.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend energy-efficient solutions to reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems in building designs.
- Prepare technical drawings and documentation using CAD software, including system layouts, schematics, and control diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing HVAC systems, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technological advancements and industry trends in HVAC systems and building energy efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in HVAC software tools
- Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, ACCA, and local building codes.
- Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability practices in HVAC design.
- Ability to perform load calculations, duct design, and airflow analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members.
