Jubaili Agrotec Group is a leading agrochemical company dedicated to providing innovative solutions to enhance agricultural productivity in East and West Africa. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Shipping Specialist to join our team and help drive our growth in this vital industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full shipping process and suggest solutions for process optimization
- Use software/systems/processes to track, check, prioritize, and route orders for moving large volumes of freight from the point of origin to the destination
- Set shipping KPIs and present KPI reports
- Set and control shipping and distribution schedules and budgets
- Follow up and monitor actual budgets versus forecast with constant evaluation
- Conduct cost analysis study for each order for better decisions on mode of shipment
- Manage all negotiations with the shipping line/carrier in all our operating countries of loading
- Liaise with the clearing departments in all our subsidiaries at the port of destination to analyze all the factors that may affect the movement duration and arrival dates of the goods.
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
- Responsible for service provider contracts, statements of work & reviews
- Maintain excellent operational performance in line with Jubaili Group’s strategy
- Manage and oversee shipping team members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders (such as Supply Chain team, key service providers, 3PL etc.)
- Negotiate better shipping prices
- Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Prepare Management Reports and present all activities, successes and issues on shipping lines.
- Manage all logistics documents such as advanced shipping notice, bills of lading etc.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Shipping and Freight Forwarding.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
