Aralects is developing a gamified, self-paced app focused on teaching Arabic dialects like Egyptian, Lebanese, and Emirati to enhance real-world conversational skills. Personalized learning pathways powered by AI aim to make language learning more engaging and accessible. The company is committed to creating a culturally immersive platform for mastering Arabic dialects, catering to a wide audience for professional growth or personal interest.


Role Description

This is a part-time (or full-time if possible) remote role for a UI/UX/Product Designer at Aralects in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Designer will be involved in visual design, design thinking, user research, product design, and UX research. Responsibilities include creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces, conducting user research, and contributing to product design strategies.


Qualifications

  • Speaking Arabic is a huge plus
  • Experience with gamification processes
  • Substantial experience in mobile app design
  • User Research and UX Research skills
  • Experience in Product Design
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field


Compensation

Since we are still an early-stage startup and still in the process of building our minimum viable product, the compensation package will come in the form of substantial equity (shares in the company), and immediate/monthly monetary compensation. Therefore, this call is an invitation for people who want to take and feel ownership of the product.


The Aralects team is growing little by little, and we are currently seven people (excluding senior advisors) dedicated to making this happen. The successful applicant will be contributing towards designing a product almost from scratch and will be involved in a lot of brainstorming sessions and multidisciplinary collaboration with natural language processing experts, developers, and language experts.
