Job Purpose

The Data Engineer is responsible for managing the entire data infrastructure and pipeline process to support the company’s data needs. This role involves collaborating with data analysts to ensure data reliability, security, and quality, thereby enabling data-driven decision-making across the management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and scalable data pipelines that support data needs of SABIS® Network
• Implementing data integration solutions to collect, process, and store large volumes of data from multiple sources to perform data analysis activities, develop comprehensive dashboards, and build business intelligence systems
• Identifying and automating data processing tasks leading to the execution of more data in less time, maintaining a competitive edge, and ensuring strategic decision-making
• Supporting data warehousing and big data initiatives to facilitate the collection, analysis, and mining of a combination of data over a specific period of time, yielding valuable information and insights
• Conducting data profiling to examine and analyze useful data summaries that support the detection of data quality issues, risks, and overall trends, providing critical insights that benefit business needs
• Monitoring and troubleshooting the performance of data pipelines and systems to ensure they meet all business needs
• Maintaining and improving data flow and collection to provide a way for cross-functional teams to assess the quality of the data collection process to control data quality, collection and storage, and data reporting
• Developing and monitoring constant data testing, validation, and cleansing processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality data
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes (e.g., Extract, Transform, Load) to interpret and organize data from multiple sources into one single, consistent data
• Collaborating with the Data Analytics Manager and data analysts to understand data requirements and deliver functional solutions while ensuring all relevant business needs are addressed
• Implementing best practices for data management and governance, ensuring adherence to security policies and standards according to SABIS® policies and procedures
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of data architecture and data lineage, making sure the documentation is up-to-date and accessible to the relevant stakeholders
• Providing ongoing support and training to team members on data-related issues and raising concerns when and as needed
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the Management

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent
• Master’s degree in a related field is a plus
• English and Arabic Proficient
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field
• Certification in Machine Learning, Big Data, Analytics, Data Quality, or Data Management is a plus
