Branch Manager

The work of an Area/Branch Manager combines Sales management tasks along with other managerial responsibilities. As such, duties involve: Organizing and supervising the members of his/her team and making sure that any set targets are consistently met; Retaining the area existing clients and increasing their portfolio with the company through cross and up selling. Handling the walk-in clients. Analyzing data and reporting the findings to superiors.


Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within his team.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of the established policies and procedures in the Department, and suggest improvements when deemed necessary.
  • Provide quality leadership for internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
  • Achieve the Area’s revenue and profitability quotas (target). Sell and teach others how to sell value and solutions to Arabia’s customers.
  • Train and monitor his/her team to maximize sales in respect of existing direct and walk-in clients.
  • Set the vision for the Area and develop and adhere to a business plan to attain this vision.
  • Monitor sales data and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs.
  • Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate his/her team to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales targets and KPI targets are met.
  • Build Direct Sales Force (DSF) in respective Area, recruit, train, monitor and follow up on quotations new and renewal business to achieve respective DSF targets with the coordination of DSF Manager.
  • Give pricing information to management and make recommendations.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Conduct meetings with key customers to ensure strong relationships and remove business obstacles, aligning with long term company direction.
  • Compile and analyze sales figures, prepare on time management reports.
  • Approve credit limits, extensions or deviations as per the authority matrix.
  • Provide orientation to new employees
  • Manage the “on-the-job training” of new employees and trainees
  • Safeguard the Area’s fixed assets and maintain good housekeeping


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or related field.
  • CII Diploma / certificate is a plus
  • MBA is a plus
  • Has a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in insurance, 5-7 of which managing a branch in Keserwan
  • Have a strong active portfolio
  • Demonstrable and successful sales track record and proven record of effectively meeting sales quotas.
  • Has knowledge of local laws and practices
