Graphic Designer – Social Media Specialist

Responsibilities and Performance:


The Graphic Designer – Social Media Specialist will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the Group Media channels’ strategy in order to increase brand awareness and reach set targets, while keeping in line with the Digital Marketing Department business strategy.


Key tasks:


a. Social Media Channels Management (40%)

• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

• Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.

• Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

• Create editorial calendars and schedules.

• Continuously improve by acting on the received social data, insights and analyses.

• Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies.

• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.

• Understand the key measurement tools available.

• Research and analyze competitor advertising links.


b. Graphic Design (60%)

• Create engaging digital content (e.g.: Visuals, Infographics, videos, basic animations etc.) for websites, newsletters, intranet, blog, etc., and duly publish it on the respective social media channels.

• Ensures all visual content adheres to the company’s brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms.

• Updates brand elements as needed to keep designs modern and relevant.

• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software

• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

• Works closely with the marketing, social media, and content teams to produce visuals that support campaigns and promotional efforts.

• Participates in brainstorming sessions for new design ideas and creative solutions.

• Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.) Educational Requirement BA / BS in Marketing, Graphic Design or any other related field. Masters degree is a plus. Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.


Skills

• Excellent knowledge of Social Media platforms and other social media best practices.

• Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.

• Good understanding of social media KPIs.

• Good time-management skills.

• Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a social media specialist.

• Understanding of visual communication principles.

• Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.

• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.

• Experience in managing social media campaigns with a focus on business results.

• Ability to identify successful social media content.

• Knowledge of cutting-edge social media tactics.

• Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.

• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

• Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.

• Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.)
