2D Platformer Game Development (Freelance)
We are seeking a skilled Unity developer to create a demo version of a 2D platformer game. A portion of the project has already been implemented using Unity and PlayMaker Plugin, and you can either build upon the existing work or start a new project from scratch. However, all previously implemented features must be included in the final deliverable.
* Scope of Work
1- Game Design Document:
- Design the tutorial and Chapter 1 of the game (approximately 15 minutes of gameplay).
- Submit the design for approval before development begins.
2- Game Features:
- Main Menu: Includes Credits, Settings, and a Quit button.
- Cutscene: Integrate a cutscene before gameplay begins.
- Loading Scene: Create smooth transitions between scenes.
- Tutorial Scene: Provide a step-by-step introduction to core mechanics.
- Chapter 1 Scene: Develop the first chapter of gameplay.
3- Art Assets:
- Art will be provided during the development process.
4- Game Length:
- The total gameplay duration for the demo should be around 15 minutes.
* Payment Structure
Payments will be made in milestones as follows:
- 10% after completing and approving the game design for both the tutorial and Chapter 1.
- 25% after completing the tutorial scene and cutscene.
- 25% after completing the loading scene and Chapter 1.
- 40% after thorough user testing, ensuring the demo is complete and bug-free.
* Additional Details
- More specific project details, including expectations and requirements, will be discussed and finalized in an online meeting with shortlisted candidates after the initial screening.
* Requirements
- The demo must be fully functional, polished, and adhere to the approved game design document.
- The game should be completed within 3 months from the project start date.
